Case Study: Be Moore Interpreting and CVS Health

A Local Entrepreneur Reaps the Benefits of Executive Learning Series

CVS Health hosted its 10th Annual Executive Learning Series Summit here in Rhode Island this past September, the program aims to empower diverse suppliers across the nation. This three-day intensive program, a partnership with Roger Williams University, equips suppliers with the tools to scale their businesses, develop essential skills, and navigate collaborations with Fortune 500 companies.

SupplyRI played a pivotal role in identifying exceptional companies for the summit, nominating eight Rhode Island suppliers, including Be Moore Interpreting. Shirley Moore, the Owner, and CEO of this Minority-Owned Enterprise, was among the 15 selected participants and was the sole Rhode Island representative. Shirley’s participation showcased the state’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Shirley expressed gratitude for the experience: “My time at the Roger Williams University and CVS Health Executive Learning Summit was truly transformative. I am grateful to have been chosen to participate and to represent Rhode Island as it challenged me to grow as a leader, connect with powerful entrepreneurs, and solidify my commitment to empowering others through language, culture, and business."

As Monette Knapik, Executive Director of Enterprise Procurement Supplier Diversity at CVS Health, explains, “Our partnerships with organizations like SupplyRI are essential for identifying and supporting diverse businesses. They provide invaluable insights into local suppliers who are both qualified and eager to work with CVS Health. We were thrilled to include a SupplyRI supplier in this year’s cohort”.
